SV Group Restructuring Production Capacity
Sri Venkatesa Group (SVG) is restructuring its production capacities by putting up a 150 TPD writing & printing paper machine. Due to uncertain market conditions the project work on new machine is kept on hold till April 2010. The paper machine has been purchased from North Western Italy having a 3.45 meter deckle with a Symsizer, Vertiformer & Tri-nip press with a production speed of 850 MPM.
At the same time the company will upgrade it two newsprint machines at V. G. Papers and will halt the production at two old machines.
The new machine placed at Amaravathi (ASVPM) located at Madathukulam on the banks of river Amaravathi will allow company to make high quality surface sized Printing & Writing Paper and Copier Paper.
The SVG paper-division includes Amaravathi Sri Venkatesa Paper Mills Ltd. (ASVPM), Rajalakshmi Paper Mills Pvt. Ltd. (RPM), Vishnuvardan Paper Mills Pvt. Ltd. (VPM) & V. G. Papers Pvt Ltd. Currently the group has 9 machines, producing 375 TPD waste paper based writing & printing paper (white & colored), newsprint, kraft paper & hard tissue. After restructuring the group plans to make 520 TPD paper with just 8 machines by de-commissioning two 1.8 deckle machines at ASVPM & rebuild two newsprint machines at V. G. Papers to achieve this.
Earlier the company has completed the installation of 22 TPH high pressure boilers to generate 1.8 MW of power using a backpressure turbine. Followed by the installation of a second hand pulp mill from Scotland that has 100 TPD 2-loop fully automatic Comer de-inking plant. This plant is now being fully used to supply pulp to Paper Machine in ASVPM to make up to 86 degree brightness white paper. Up-gradation to the older pulp street included installation of a Lamort DIP (a second hand line from Austria) and a Krima-Cellwood hot-dispersion system for the other street.
