CPPRI recently completed 30 years of service to pulp & paper industry and at that occasion inaugurated paper museum. Over the years, the institute has carved a niche and is considered at par with the reputed research organizations of developed countries like Sweden, Finland etc.
Chief Guest of the event Mr. R.R. Vederah, Managing Director, BILT highlighted the role which CPPRI can play in the nurturing Indian paper industry by partnering with the private companies including paper mills, equipment & chemical vendors. He also emphasized on the potential for growth in the industry and said that India is ranked amongst the top 15 paper producing countries but still has a meagre per capita consumption of 9 kg aprrox.
