Naberezhnye Chelny Paper Mill in Russia starts up paper machine after a rebuild

September 8, 2014

International technology Group ANDRITZ successfully started up the PM K-28 paper machine at ZAOR “Narodnoye Predpriyatie Naberezhnye Chelny Paper Mill named after S.P. Titov” in Russia after completing a major rebuild. Saleable paper was quickly achieved, beginning with the second reel produced. The machine has a design speed of 800 m/min and a width of 4.75 m. It produces testliner and kraftliner.

For the rebuild, ANDRITZ supplied two new PrimeFlow SW headboxes with PrimeProFiler dilution control, two PrimeForm Fourdriniers, and added a new press with a PrimePress X shoe press in the second position. PrimeRun M web stabilizers and a new QCS system were also installed, as well as two new paper machine approach systems and a broke pulper. New process pumps from ANDRITZ will help to further raise efficiency.
