Shree Ajit Pulp and Paper Limited has placed an order with Valmet to supply OptiFlo Layering Fourdrinier headbox and Conical Refiners for its Unit 2 mill in Vapi.

Shree Ajit Pulp and Paper Limited has contracted Valmet to supply an OptiFlo Layering Fourdrinier headbox with Aqua layering technology, Valmet Conical Refiners Pro, and Conflo for their Unit 2 Mill at Vapi, Gujarat in India. The start-up is planned for the first quarter of 2024, and the end products will be kraft liners and whitetop test liners.
The delivery includes an OptiFlo Layering Fourdrinier headbox with Aqua layering technology as well as new generation Valmet Conical Refiners Pro, and Conflo for producing microfibrillated cellulose (MFC). Valmet Conical Refiner Pro with its higher installed power throughput raises the refining efficiency, achieving good fibrillation of the fibers without cutting. The delivery also includes a Valmet IQ Quality Control System (QCS), a Valmet IQ Dilution Profiler, and a Valmet IQ Steam Profiler. The order is included in Valmet’s order received for the second quarter of 2023. The value of the order remains disclosed.
