Valmet’s strategy to expand its power and process automation business around the world through close partnerships with strong local players

Valmet has signed new value-added reseller (VAR) agreements for power and process industry automation in Hungary, Spain and India. The agreements are in line with Valmet’s strategy to expand its power and process automation business around the world through close partnerships with local recognized engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) companies, original equipment manufacturers (OEM) or system integrator companies.
“Valmet’s role in these partnerships is to supply our Valmet DNA automation and information platform for process control, whereas our partner is responsible for project execution and resources. Valmet DNA is already being used in thousands of power plants and industrial processes around the world. We now want to expand our business, and one very efficient way to do it is to cooperate with recognized partners,” says Kari S. Heikkilä, Director, Partner Business, Automation, Valmet.
On the Hungarian market, Valmet will start cooperating with Profigram Ltd. based in Budapest. Profigram has a long relationship with Valmet after having worked as its engineering partner in many automation system projects.
“Based on our experience and market intelligence, we are positive that we can penetrate new industries together with Valmet. Through cooperation, we will strengthen our automation knowledge and competence with the Valmet DNA system,” says György Biró, Director of Sales Department, Profigram Ltd.
Valmet’s new VAR partner in Spain is AYESA New Solutions S.A. The partnership will combine AYESA’s engineering, consulting, technology and outsourcing with Valmet DNA technology for projects in the energy and process industries worldwide.
In India, the new VAR partner is Shreevari Energy Systems Private Limited, an NTC Group Company in Chennai, India.
Profigram Ltd., with a staff of about 50 people, offers its customers in combined power and heat generation and the process industry customized solutions in diverse fields of industrial automation. Profigram’s wide range of activities covers the overall realization of automation and process control systems as well as engineering, among others.

It is recognized as a business partner for the boiler and generator supplier Burmeister Wain Energy and an approved solution provider by most of the electricity boards in India as well as by India’s largest power conglomerate NTPC.
