Is waste paper Hazardous?
Waste paper prices saw an upward trend around April-end and we experienced some heavy buying. However with the ongoing chaos about the new import laws for waste paper, it has complicated matters leaving the importers unclear on the current situation. Having waste-paper classified under hazardous waste has left us shocked. I thought we were an Eco-friendly Industry!!
Going forward prices may weaken for a short while due to unclear scenario but having said that there is a fall in collection of waste paper and with the shipping lines increasing freight, it will be interesting to see how the markets pan out in the coming month.
