Kadant Inc.has acquired two Italian companies—Babbini and G.P.S.—to expand its industrial processing capabilities.

Babbini, established in 1945 and based in Civitella di Romagna, is a well-established provider of screw press technology and dewatering solutions across various industries. GPS Engineering, located in Legnano, complements Babbini with its proficiency in system integration and the development of custom gearboxes for complex industrial operations.
Since 2019, Babbini and GPS have worked alongside Kadant to deliver cutting-edge dewatering technologies as part of Kadant’s upcycling initiatives. Following the acquisition, both companies will be integrated into Kadant’s industrial processing segment.
