TridentTrident stall was abuzz with trade discussions during the exhibition. These discussions instilled fresh thoughts into those who participated in the discussions and bought about a synergy for the industry.
On October 25, 2013, Trident hosted an evening for its business partners at Hotel Taj Mansingh; also present at the event were the winners of the Trident Academic Scholarship along with their parents. This scholarship in its first edition was awarded to 78 students from class 8 to 12.
Trident intends to further strengthen its presence in the copier segment through well-planned branding initiatives.
Speaking about the new developments taking place at Trident, Mr. R.C. Johari, chief operating officer (Paper), Trident, said, “De-bottlenecking of PM1 is over and now we are planning to increase the production to 500 TPD. For this purpose we will rebuild PM1. We also intend to achieve production of 500 TPD high brightness pulp.
“We are producing 5,000 to 6,000 tons of copier paper every month, which we intend to take to 7,500 tons. We achieved this target last month. We are now focusing on the branding of copier paper.
“Besides, looking at the current industry scenario, we are going for a lot of cost-cutting. The management is keen on reducing the consumption of steam, power, chemicals and most importantly water, as the availability of water will be a major problem in times to come.”
