Valmet has secured an order to deliver its IQ Quality Control System for Papeterie Le Bourray’s new production line.

Valmet has received an order to supply a complete Valmet IQ Quality Control System (QCS) to Papeterie Le Bourray for its new recycled tissue paper production line in France. The system will support improved product quality, enhanced process stability, and measurable savings in raw materials and energy, aligning with the customer’s efficiency and sustainability objectives.

According to Davy Haran, Continuous Improvement and Project Manager at Papeterie Le Bourray, partnering with Valmet ensures consistency across production lines, simplifies maintenance, optimizes spare parts management, strengthens internal expertise, and lowers total cost of ownership while supporting long-term efficiency and productivity targets.
Commenting on the order, Eric Butreau, Solution Sales Manager, Automation Solutions at Valmet, said the advanced QCS technology provides precise measurements, improved process stability, and seamless integration with existing systems, enabling consistent product quality and operational excellence supported by comprehensive lifecycle services.
The order is included in Valmet’s orders received for the third quarter of 2025, with delivery scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026.

The delivery includes a Valmet IQ Scanner L, Valmet IQ Basis Weight Measurement, and Valmet IQ IR Moisture Measurement, along with closed-loop basis weight and moisture controls. Valmet IQ is a comprehensive quality monitoring and control system covering the full production line, combining scanners, measurements, controls, and advanced multivariable control applications to optimize process performance, end-product quality, and overall business results.
