The idled portion of the Wisconsin Rapids paper mill will be sold to Capital Recovery Group next month.

The Wisconsin Rapids Tribune said Billerud, a Swedish pulp and paper manufacturer, announced that it will sell the unoccupied mill and related assets. The Wisconsin Rapids paper mill has been vacant since June 2020 when Verso stopped production and continued converting operations, which left over 900 employees without a job after its merger with Billerud. The company will continue operating its Wisconsin Rapids converting facility and the 130 employees at the site.
