Paper Mart: Please share when and how you got into manufacturing pulp and paper equipment?

Vinay Mittal: Stark Engineering Private Limited was established in 2006 by Mr. Vinay Mittal. When we started our manufacturing there were very few small and mid-sized manufacturers supplying economical machines. Owing to our consistent innovations and ability to provide best solutions to several players in the industry, we got immediate recognition and this motivated us to further upgrade our infrastructure and technologies. Today, we are a leading manufacturer, supplier and exporter of machinery and equipment for the pulp and paper industry. We provide unique fundamental machineries that can produce high quality paper by recycling waste.

PM: What types of paper grades and pulp types are your machines designed to handle? What are the key features and specifications of your machinery, and how do you compare them to similar products available on the market?

VM: Our product range includes kraft, tissue-based, writing and printing, board papers and duplex papers. In addition to equipment supply, Stark Engineering Private Limited is also a soda recovery plant undertaker. We are a complete solution provider with specialization in the field of small to medium scale pulp and paper mill plants, as well as board mill plants. One thing which makes us stand out from the competitors is our honesty in business dealings.

PM: What kind of maintenance and after-sale support services are available?

VM: For Stark Engineering, after-sale support is very crucial. To attain customer loyalty, we provide the highest standards of quality products suitable for various business segments. We undertake activities relating to feasibility study, design engineering, equipment manufacturing, sub-contracting, erection and commissioning, and post commissioning services, offering a total solution to our valued customers. To ensure customers’ satisfaction, our team attends every complaint and works with the clients to resolve all their issues.

PM: Do you offer customization options? What is your annual production capacity?

VM: Our expertise lies in embedding state-of-the-art technology to provide cost-effective custom-designed solutions to suit the varied needs of our valued customers. We supplied a complete tissue manufacturing machine to Janki Newsprint, which is successfully running in Meerut. This has enabled Janki Newsprint to produce about 70 metric tonnes per day of light grammage paper (28 to 30 grams) on that machine, which shows the versatility of our equipment. Our annual production capacity is about 2,000 metric tons in mild steel and about 1000 metric tons in stainless steel. We are currently in expansion mode and expect to double our capacity in the next three years.
