Excerpts of the interview with Mr. Akshay Jain, Designated Partner, Accurate Multilayer Papers LLP:
Paper Mart: Could you please give us an overview of Accurate Multilayer Papers LLP, its product portfolio along with respective applications?
Akshay Jain: Accurate Multilayer Papers LLP is company which is involved in manufacturing rigid board from 1 mm thickness to 3.5 mm thickness. It is the first-of-its-kind manufacturing plant in India. We manufacture around 1500-2000 tonnes of rigid board per month. Rigid board is used for making mobile packaging boxes, sweet boxes, luxury packaging, stationery, etc. It is a fast growing product.
PM: What do you think are the key strengths of your packaging paper that will enable you to make your mark in the packaging industry?
AJ: We offer the finest products available in India to our customers in every respect. We have a full-fledged quality control department to take care of each and every aspect of our products to meet the set quality standards. We manufacture almost every quality of Kraft paper so you can say we have complete basket of products. In North India, we are among the top three manufacturers in terms of quality and quantity as we have the capacity of serving the top-notch products and giving best values to our customers.
PM: What are your future plans and growth strategies for the coming years regarding expansion and adding some value-added products?
AJ: At present, we have held-off all our future expansions due to COVID — but definitely when the things become smooth, we will expand ourselves in shape of capacity expansions. We are manufacturing various value-added products such as bleach Kraft, cup stock, Kraft paper for carry bags, high RCT Kraft, high BF Kraft, copier grades, high brightness maplitho paper etc. We are open to adding any other products as our machines are capable of making all varieties of paper.
PM: According to you how do you see the demand for packaging paper with regards to the customers you serve?
AJ: The demand for packaging paper is definitely going to rise in the coming few years. If we talk about the domestic demand, the growth in white goods and industrialization in India are favourable projections because every industry needs packaging. If we see internationally, then in the coming years, China will be a big buyer, we are hopeful that in the coming few years, the packaging industry will boom.
