Andritz will deliver a complete old corrugated containers (OCC) line having a design capacity of 2,000 bdmt/d to Indah Kiat’s mill at Karawang in Indonesia. The new line will start production by the end of 2024.

International technology group Andritz has received an order from lndah Kiat Pulp & Paper TBK to supply a complete old corrugated containers (OCC) line including a reject treatment system to the mill in Karawang, Indonesia.
As per a statement issued by Andritz, the new OCC line will have a design capacity of 2,000 bdmt/d and process a mixture of OCC, mixed waste and up to 30% American OCC as raw material to produce testliner. Based on the latest technology available, it will provide high quality pulp at cost-efficient and resource-saving operation.
The collaboration between lndah Kiat Pulp & Paper TBK and ANDRITZ will support Indah Kiat’s stable and sustainable growth, driving the company’s production to new heights. Start-up of the new line is scheduled for the end of 2024.

Andritz will supply a complete drum pulping system with a fiber flow drum pulper for highly efficient fiber slushing and separation of coarse contaminants at reduced energy consumption.
It will further deliver the cleaning, fractionation and screening stage, including PrimeScreen X screens with newly developed PrimeRotor for high screening efficiency at low power consumption.
Andritz will deliver a state-of-the-art reject treatment system featuring reject compactors ReCo for optimal dewatering of rejects and a durable ADuro P single-shaft shredder with an innovative cutting system to ensure a homogenous high-quality output, along with erection supervision, commissioning, start-up and training.
The order will further strengthen Andritz’s position in the Southeast Asian recycled pulp market. The company has already sold more than 300 fiber flow drum pulpers worldwide and supplied or rebuilt over 50 OCC lines in Southeast Asia.
