The state-of-the-art facility having capacity to produce 75,000 MT paper and recyclable materials per annum, will retain its name and continue to trade under the name of Allan Morris Recycling.

Sweden-based trading and forest products firm, Ekman & Company AB, which provides a complete range of services for the paper and pulp industries, has acquired a state-of-the-art paper recycling facility in North Wales in the United Kingdom, operated by Allan Morris Recycling (AMR).
Sharing the news on LinkedIn, Ekman said, “We are pleased to welcome Allan Morris Recycling (AMR) of Deeside, Flintshire, North Wales into the Ekman Group. The Allan Morris Recycling business, which operates one of the most advanced paper recovery facilities in the country, has been acquired in whole effective March 26, 2024, and will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ekman & Co AB, trading as Allan Morris Recycling.
“The decision to expand our services reflects a strategic move aimed at ensuring sustained value creation over the long term, as well as enhancing supplier and customer satisfaction,” it added.

Expressing his happiness over the development, Mr. Pankaj Chowdhary, Managing Director of Ekman Recycling, said that Ekman has been working with Allan Morris Recycling in recent years, and has always been impressed with their (AMR’s) professional and flexible approach to doing business.
The acquisition reflected a strategic move aimed at ensuring sustained value creation over the long term, as well as enhancing supplier and customer satisfaction, added Mr. Chowdhary.
He said he was particularly pleased that Mr. Carl Robertson will remain within the business as its Managing Director, along with his key staff, which Ekman welcomed with open arms and looked forward to working with for many years to come.

In response, Mr. Robertson said that AMR’s relationship with Ekman has always been positive, and their long-term commitment and credibility aligned perfectly with AMR’s culture. With Ekman, AMR will gain access to expertise, new partners and financial strength, which will support its continued growth, he added.
The state-of-the-art facility, located in Deeside, Flintshire, North Wales, UK, will now operate as part of Ekman Recycling Limited, which has been a member of the Ekman Group since 2016.
The plant can accept and load trucks or containers, including bulk and baled materials, with all material handled undercover.
