The latest high-speed paper winders running at a speed of up to 3,000 m/min allow completely new opportunities of paper (re)winding. Fitted with high quality slitter knives of the so called 1st and 2nd generation (powder steel), such machines sometimes had their limits. Significant success created the 3rd generation of powder-steel top slitter knives, produced by the IKS Klingelnberg Group, a link between steel and Tungsten Carbide.
The IKS Klingelnberg Group launched their 4th generation of top slitter knives, made from a micro-polished special Tungsten Carbide grade to provide much better cut results and knife life time especially on such high-speed winders.
