Metsä Group has announced the production of its first base paper roll from its new paper machine (PM 37) at the Future mill in Mariestad, Sweden. The new tissue paper machine has an annual capacity of 70,000 tonnes and its max speed is 2,100 m/min.

The machine PM37 has been supplied by Valmet and is built for the future as it delivers top performance, and lower water and energy use, enabling the company’s ambitions towards fossil free production in the coming times.
