The Pulp and Paper Manufacturers Association (PPMA) has contracted with TAPPI to provide management services. Based in Appleton, Wisconsin, PPMA has a distinguished seventy-five year history of supplying human resources services to the pulp, paper, converting and allied industries. This alliance allows PPMA to expand its member reach through the resources that TAPPI has available for marketing, event management and program development.
“We’re very excited about the benefits of this partnership. In addition to administrative support that will enhance the services we provide to our members, TAPPI can help PPMA expand and promote its brand and services to a wider geographic area,” remarked John Wirch, PPMA Board President. “Our two associations serve the same industries, but provide distinctly different services. As a result the agreement will benefit members of both associations.”
“We look forward to working with PPMA to support the important human resources services they provide our industry,” said Larry N. Montague, TAPPI President and CEO. “The partnership will bring HR content to TAPPI conferences and courses and allow TAPPI members to network with HR professionals. HR managers will also benefit from exposure to TAPPI’s educational and training offerings. The synergy provided by working together will help the pulp, paper, packaging and converting industries stay competitive and aid human resources managers confront issues such as ballooning health care costs and an aging workforce.”
