Metsä Fibre, a part of Metsä Group and leading producer of pulp, sawn timber, bioproducts and bioenergy, has announced the appointment of Mr. Timo Ahonen as its new Senior Vice President of Pulp Production.

Mr. Ahonen will officially assume his new role on August 1, 2025, and will join the company’s Management Team, reporting directly to CEO Ismo Nousiainen.
Mr. Ahonen’s current post as Vice President at the Tako board mill has equipped him with deep insight and experience across the Metsä organization.

He will succeed Mr. Mikko Nieminen, who will move to Metsä Tissue to take on the role of Senior Vice President, Technology.
