Paper producer Pabrik Kertas Tjiwi Kimia, a unit of Sinar Mas Group, will spend USD 100 million to build 13 paper machines with an annual capacity of 100,000 tonnes this year, said Arman Sutedja, the firm’s finance director. Paper company Indah Kiat Pulp and Paper, also controlled by Sinar Mas, plans to develop 16 paper machines worth between USD 100-150 million in Riau that will have an annual capacity of 500,000 tonnes, said Kurniawan Yuwono, the company’s finance director, adding it expects to complete the project in the second half of next year.
