US-based paper packaging company WestRock will build a new corrugated box plant in Longview, Washington. The sustainable packaging provider has decided to build the plant in view of the increasing market demand for eco-friendly packaging solutions in the Pacific Northwest region.
Speaking about the production expansion, Mr. David B. Sewell, Chief Executive Officer, WestRock, comments, “WestRock’s corrugated packaging business in the Pacific Northwest continues to perform well, with strong relationships with customers in attractive growth markets.”

The new corrugated plant will cater to every industry segment. Upon completion of the facility, the plant will replace the company’s current corrugated operations in Longview. The corrugated plant, which would be co-positioned with the Longview paper mill, will further expand the integration of the mill’s containerboard production.

Sewell further added that their new corrugated packaging plant will enable its team in this region to cater to their customers in a better way. The upcoming state-of-the-art manufacturing facility will also provide new capabilities and efficiencies for the customers in the region.
