Wintex to start Tissue Conversion Plant in Taloja & Introduce Coreless Toilet Rolls

Wintex a brand known for quality tissue paper since 1982 is coming up with a new and up to minute production plant in MIDC industrial area of Taloja in the district Raigad. The new facility in the name of Wintex Paper Products Pvt Ltd will have an installed capacity of converting 220 tons per month. The plant with 4 times capacity of the current sales will commence production in June 2009. The construction is 95% completed and the order for the latest technology machines is already placed to the Chinese manufacturers.
pg 8, WintexMr. Satish Rekhi announces that for the first time in India Wintex will manufacture ‘Coreless’ toilet rolls. Wintex has pioneered by introducing kitchen towels in the country. Further the company plans for establishing converting units in all major metros in coming 5 years with an export oriented unit. After having a strong base in Northern India, the company is targeting to have a clutch in the western market.
The company visualizes converting premium products in its upcoming plant, which has always been focus at Wintex for making excellent quality products at extremely competitive rates.
Wintex already markets over 100 tissue products and ensures the usage of tissue paper with optimum technical specifications. The company focuses on soft tissue but describing the hard tissue he states that the hard tissue we convert was earlier like a kite paper and we introduced embossing on it.
Commenting on the tissue consumption trends in India, Mr. Rekhi explains that the consumption of tissue paper in India is quite low as compared to other countries. This is just because of the lack of knowledge and awareness among the people. But in coming few years the consumption will increase. Due to the shortage of water in India the demand of toilet rolls will climb.
