BekaertSolaronics has installed a gas infrared system called GemDryer® for coat drying on BM7 at ITC Bhadrachalam Paper, India. The BekaertSolaronics GemDryer®is equipped with 100 percent ceramic gas emitters Gem9 which provide high power and excellent lifetime for paper and board drying. The use of these emitters allows reaching the gel point as fast as possible, and therefore binder migration and mottling are reduced for the best printing quality.
The objective of the project was to enable the production of coated recycled board with the best printing quality, high density, superior stiffness and high smoothness at minimized operating costs.
