The Centre has promised to sanction Rs. 30 crore to Hindustan Paper Corp, out of which Rs 12 crore will be made available to Nagaland Pulp and Paper Co Ltd (NPPCL).

The central government will make all efforts to revive the Pulp and Paper Mill in Nagaland, Union Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Minister Anant G. Geete said on June 17.
“We have decided to revive the mill. We will do whatever possible to set up adequate number of industries in the northeastern region,” he told reporters in Agartala. The minister, who came here on a day’s visit, said: “Growth of industries and development of infrastructure in the resource rich northeastern region is a priority of the central government.”
The Centre has promised to sanction Rs 30 crore to Hindustan Paper Corp, out of which Rs 12 crore will be made available to Nagaland Pulp and Paper Co Ltd (NPPCL) or Tuli Paper Mill to revive production. Non-availability of adequate power and law and order issues had affected the running of the mill.
