The mill is doing the expansion in PM 1, which will become operational from the end of this month

Mohali based Nachiketa Papers Ltd. has terminated the production of newsprint and started expanding its production, entering into the manufacturing of Kraft and Kraft board on PM 1. The expansion is nearly done and will become serviceable from this month. The augmentation of the current capacity 80 TPD will extend to 200 TPD and the deckle size of the machine is 3 meter with 200-300 mpm speed. The firm has procured new equipments from various suppliers. They purchased boiler from Cheema Boilers Ltd., dryer and jumbo presses from Hardayal Engineering Works, pump from Sam Turbo, pulper and slotted spring from Parason Machinery and Su-Tech Engineers. The mill is to use both imported waste paper from the US and domestically procured recycled fiber as its raw materials mix.
Since the prices of waste paper saw a hike in prices, the company underwent for a decision of expansion in order to meet the paper cost.
