ITC-PSPD became the winner in the category of the ‘Internet of Things and Digitalization’, and has become the first Asian company to win the PPI award.

ITC’s Paperboards and Specialty Papers Division – ITC-PSPD has won the Pulp & Paper International (PPI) Awards, in the category of ‘Internet of Things and Digitalization’ at a ceremony held in Lisbon, Portugal in March 2022.
The PPI Awards, organised annually by Fastmarkets RISI, are dedicated to recognising and honouring the achievements of companies, mills, and individuals in the pulp and paper industry. ITC-PSPD has become the first Asian company to bag this global award.

The award recognises the achievement of leveraging existing systems for value creation. Industry 4.0 interventions deployed by the company include advances in data capture and management at every node of the supply chain, working with advanced IoT technologies to enhance efficiency and reliability in operations, production, and costs, and driving a new paradigm of quality.
According to the statement of ITC-PSPD, “the award is recognition of a rapid transition to a future-tech enterprise, a milestone in a journey of digital transformation.”
