Fedrigoni has completed the acquisition of Arjowiggins HKK3 Limited’s entire share capital. This acquisition will strengthen Fedrigoni’s presence in the Asian Market and enhance Fedrigoni’s special papers business unit.

Fedrigoni, last January, after entering into an arrangement with Arjowiggins HKK3 Limited (“HKK3”), the owner of the Arjowiggins China group operating the paper mill in Quzhou, China, announced that it had finalized the acquisition of HKK3’s entire share capital on December 2023. With its first paper mill in China, Fedrigoni can now strengthen its geographic footprint in the Asian market, where it already has a wide distribution network in China, Hong Kong, Philippines, Indonesia, and Bangladesh, including 11 warehouses, a self-adhesive materials production plant in Hefei and an RFID inlays and tags manufacturing plant in Guangzhou. The deal will also allow the group to further expand its product portfolio in the translucent papers segment, which has the potential to increasingly replace plastic in packaging as a fully recyclable mono-material. The Quzhou mill is a world-leading manufacturer of translucent papers (sold under the brands Gateway and Sylvicta) for applications ranging from industrial design and graphic applications to packaging for food, consumer electronics, and luxury products.
