BASF is expanding its dispersion production capacity at its Mangalore site with the addition of a new production line. The expansion underscores BASF’s confidence in India’s long-term growth and its continued commitment to supporting customers across architectural paints, construction chemicals and paper applications.
To meet growing demand for premium, sustainable dispersions, BASF is enhancing its Mangalore operations, supporting customers’ long-term growth and the evolving needs of key end-user industries.

Leveraging on its strong acrylic value chain and broad dispersions portfolio, BASF reinforces its leadership in premium and performance-enhancing technologies locally used for paper & packaging segment. The high-solids binders and Basonal® PLUS low Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) series enhance paper coating performance and support India’s sustainability goals, while technical expertise aids new paper mills and flexible packaging applications. Apart from that, the technologies will be utilised in the architectural and construction sectors.
