Seshasayee Paper Eyes Growth Through Capacity Expansion and Strategic Investments

The company is strengthening its long-term growth strategy through capacity additions, mill expansion and favourable global demand trends.

Seshasayee Paper and Boards is positioning itself for its next phase of growth through strategic capacity expansion and investments aimed at meeting rising paper demand. The company has acquired the assets of Servalakshmi Paper as a going concern, adding a facility with an expected production capacity of 75,000 tonnes per annum.

To further enhance output, Seshasayee Paper has secured environmental clearance for its Mill Development Plan-IV (MDP-IV) at its Erode unit. The project, involving an investment of INR 270 crore, is designed to increase pulp and paper production capacities by 20%.

The expansion comes at a time when the global paper industry continues to demonstrate resilience. Global paper demand, which rose from around 420 million tonnes in 2023, is projected to reach 473 million tonnes by 2030, supported by growth in packaging, tissue and specialty paper segments.
