KPL sources 95% of its pulp requirements domestically, importing only the softwood pulp needed. It operates a fully integrated manufacturing facility with an in-house pulp production capacity of 138,700 MTPA. The facility also includes a 38 MW captive power plant that meets all of KPL’s power needs, and a 700 TPD chemical recovery plant that enables the recovery and recycling of over 95% of the caustic soda used in pulping—an expensive chemical critical for converting raw material into pulp.
