Company to Design, Engineer, supply and commission Nitric Acid and Sulphuric Acid Concentration Plants at Ordnance Factory Bhandara

Parason Machinery has been awarded a turnkey contract valued at INR 332.76 crore by Munitions India Limited (MIL), a defence public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, for the design, supply, erection, installation and commissioning of a Nitric Acid Concentration (NAC) Plant and a Sulphuric Acid Concentration (SAC) Plant, together with associated civil works, at Ordnance Factory Bhandara, Maharashtra.
The Acceptance of Contract was issued on 28th August 2026, following a competitive tender in which Parason Machinery emerged as the bid winner. The completion period for the contract is 670 days.

The plants are to be executed on a full turnkey basis — process design, engineering, equipment manufacture and supply, civil works, erection, installation and commissioning — and are engineered to operate both as an integrated unit , giving the facility operational flexibility across production regimes.
Concentrated nitric and sulphuric acids are foundational process inputs in ordnance manufacture. Establishing this capacity in-country, with indigenous engineering and project execution, supports the Ministry of Defence’s indigenisation agenda under Atmanirbhar Bharat and strengthens the domestic supply chain for critical chemical process infrastructure.

The project will be executed from Parason’s manufacturing base in Maharashtra, drawing on the company’s in-house stainless steel foundry casting facility, Precision Fabrication Facility and CNC machining infrastructure, alongside established international technology partnerships in acid concentration systems.
