Abhishek Industries Launches Copier Paper Spectra & my choice

Abhishek Industries Limited (AIL), the flagship of the Rs 2500 crore global conglomerate, Trident Group, launched two branded copier paper products – Spectra and My Choice.
abhishek industriesThe diversified Trident Group with businesses ranging from terry towels, cotton yarn, information technology, paper, energy and chemicals, targets an incremental turnover of Rs 400 crore from the expanded branded copier paper portfolio which comes from the investments of about Rs 825 crore on integrated pulp & paper project of the Company.
With the modest beginning of paper mill in 1992, AIL has invested in the state-ofthe- art technology and presently it has the capacity to manufacture 175000 ton per annum of both printing and writing paper using wheat straw as the main raw material. The Company is the major manufacturer of ECF bleached pulp based paper in northern India and is a BIS, ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 18001:1999 accredited company.
“The major attributes of the Company’s new launches are superiority in terms of GSM and brightness that would give customers greater value. Spectra Copier offers 75 GSM and 88 per cent brightness and My Choice 70 GSM and 86 per cent brightness”, said Mr Rajiv Mediratta, Business Head, Abhishek Paper Division.
“My Choice will enable jobbers to offer high-speed copying on far higher quality paper and satisfy their customers in turn. At the same time, Spectra is targeted at corporate customers for their varied needs of photocopying, printouts and various other printing needs where premium quality and performance are major prerequisites,” said Mr KP Reddy, Marketing Head, Abhishek Paper Division.
With the strengthening of its product portfolio, the Trident Group plans to target a 10-12 per cent market share with a sharp focus on customers in Delhi, Mumbai and Ahmedabad. The company is also putting in place strategies to increase export markets in the Middle East, African and European markets.
“The Company has already been complying with the CREP environmental norms and while being eco- friendly and saving 5,000 trees a day” said Mr Abhishek Gupta, Deputy Manager, Abhishek Industries.
