The Uganda-based manufacturer has signed a contract with JMC Paper to supply an integrated pulp mill with a capacity of 200 TPD and a virgin kraft paper machine of 150 TPD, respectively.

Modern Laminates Ltd., an Uganda-based manufacturer of multi-layer kraft paper and paperboard, has ordered a complete integrated pulp mill and a virgin kraft paper machine from JMC Paper Tech Pvt. Ltd. With this order, the technology provider has marked its foray into the integrated pulp mill sector as it is the first-ever project for the complete pulp mill with 200 TPD capacity.
“August was an exciting month for us as we grabbed an order for the first-ever 200 TPD integrated pulp mill and an order for a 150 TPD virgin kraft paper machine on a turnkey basis for the African continent from the Modern Laminates Group. JMC is officially entering into the integrated pulp mill sector,” informs the company.

As informed to Paper Mart, the signed project would be executed in a turnkey manner by JMC, a specialist in implementing state-of-the-art technology to provide cost-effective and customised solutions to fulfill customers’ requirements.

Equipped with the prerequisite capabilities, JMC Paper Tech Pvt. Ltd. undertakes the design, manufacturing, supply, erection, and commissioning of new pulp mills and paper machines as well as the modernisation of existing pulp mills and paper machines.
