Crucial Milestones
Till 2013, Sri Lanka’s paper industry was in its infancy. We, as pioneers, were among the first to establish a paper manufacturing unit, a 30-ton-per-day project with ambitious goals. By the end of 2014-15, we had not only achieved our target but also successfully entered the Indian export market. After facing all the challenges, we unveiled the project and started manufacturing napkin paper, facial tissue, toilet tissue, and kitchen towels of all grades from 12 to 40 gsm in 2023. This remarkable feat was driven by the Japanese tissue machine which we installed in Sri Lanka. We maintain a daily production of 15 to 16 tons, with additional conversion processes also in place.
Product Portfolio
Our complete array encompasses white coated duplex board (white back & grey back)- 200 to 500 gsm; M.G. kraft paper- 100 to 400 gsm; test liner, file covers, chipboard, cover paper, bristol board, white & coloured manila board- kraft liner board, corrugated paper, etc. All these are manufactured from super-grade raw materials that are sourced from reputed vendors.
Upcoming Project
Though still in its early stages, we’ve already begun planning a large-scale project for the production of duplex board. We’ll initially focus on 40-45 tons per day of 250 gsm board, but within six months of launch, we plan to expand to 350 and 400 gsm as well. This ambitious project requires significant investment and will significantly increase our current capacity, which currently stands at just 5 moulds. We’ll be expanding this to 8 moulds for efficient operation.
