Samir Patil: Clyde Industries has a rich legacy that traces back to 1924 when Clyde Blowers was established as a family firm specializing in the production of boiler cleaning devices, specifically soot blowers. Over the years, we’ve evolved into the world’s premier supplier for heavy-duty soot blowers, high-power low-pressure soot-blowing technology, and cutting-edge SMART Clean™ Intelligent Sootblowing Systems.
In 2019, Clyde Industries took shape following a strategic move by the Clyde Bergemann Power Group. The pulp and paper business underwent a carve-out and was subsequently sold to Wynnchurch Capital. This marked the formation of Clyde Industries, encompassing entities like Clyde Bergemann Power Group Americas, Clyde Bergemann Scandinavia, and Clyde Bergemann Indonesia.
A pivotal moment in our journey occurred in 2020 when Clyde Industries successfully acquired MidSouth Power and Equipment Company, based in Greensboro, NC. This acquisition included the company’s expertise in servicing Copes Vulcan soot blowers. Additionally, we laid the foundation for Clyde Industries India Private Limited, further expanding our global footprint.
Our core focus revolves around designing, supplying, and servicing innovative products, systems, and services. Our primary mission is to provide safe and effective online cleaning solutions for recovery and power boilers, catering to the diverse needs of the worldwide pulp and paper industry.

SP: Our journey began with 80 soot blowers at Varo Pulp Mill, Sweden, and we’ve surged ahead, installing 5,500+ soot blowers worldwide. Notably, the world’s largest recovery boiler in APP OKI, Indonesia, relies on our 206 soot blowers for its 2.8 million tons annual pulp production.
Operating in 15+ countries, from Sweden to India, we’re an American company with a global imprint. Clyde Industries thrives in diverse markets, competing notably in India with our Hi-Tech products against the likes of competitors sootblowers. As a major player, our focus is on enhancing cost-effectiveness to propel further expansion and deepen our roots in the Indian market.

However, there’s a positive shift in mindset. Indians are now envisioning substantial growth, investing in higher efficiency to expand their production.
