Kuantum Papers has installed an advanced chip washing system at its pulp mill, for the removal of dust and sand from veneer waste chips.
As per the company, this crucial addition effectively removes impurities such as sand, bark and metal before the chips enter the pulping process, leading to better yield, uniform pulp and superior product quality.

Additionally, cleaner inputs help prevent clogging and wear in downstream equipment, while reducing the amount of non-process elements (NPEs) entering the chemical recovery cycle.
