Pakka Revises Project Jagriti CAPEX to INR 744 crore

Pakka has revised the capital expenditure of its ongoing Project Jagriti to INR 744 crore. The project cost includes land project, civil & structural work and site development among others.

Pakka has revised the capital expenditure of its ongoing Project Jagriti to INR 744 crore. The project cost includes land project, civil & structural work and site development, plant & machinery, contingency, pre-operative expense and Interest During Construction (IDC).

The bifurcation is based on the revised Techno-Economic Viability (TEV) assessment and reflects the updated project configuration, including cost escalations on account of design changes, time overrun, and foreign exchange fluctuations. 

The project includes installation of a new paper machine (PM-4) for the manufacture of paper and packaging products; upgradation and debottlenecking of existing paper machine(s), including PM-3; expansion and modernization of pulp mill and allied processing facilities; installation of captive power generation facilities along with associated utilities; development of chemical recovery, evaporation and related process systems; and upgradation of effluent treatment plant (ETP), utilities and other supporting infrastructure.

Out of the total cost, over 29 crore is being invested through equity shares, proposed to be utilized towards the capex and project mobilization, within 6 months from the date of receipt of funds. 25% shall be received on allotment of warrants ( i.e. over 99 crore) and shall be utilized towards initial capex and project mobilization within 18 months from the date of receipt of funds.The balance 75% shall be received on exercise by the proposed allottees and shall be utilized towards phased deployment towards project execution and expansion within 18 months from the date of receipt of funds. The total utilised cost will be over 129 crore.

The project is being executed in three phases with phase 2 being the most critical capital intensive for the project.
