ANDRITZ has received an order from the Mondi Group for an upgrade of the evaporation plant at its Mondi Frantschach mill, Austria. The startup of the evaporation plant is expected to take place in October 2023.
The upgrade will enable more efficient and sustainable pulp production. The state-of-the-art equipment by ANDRITZ is going to increase the amount of heat extracted and thereby, reduce the need for steam. Correspondingly, the environmental impact is further reduced by lowering the chemical oxygen demand (COD) for biological wastewater treatment.
