Mr. Pawan Kumar Agarwal, possessing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing, has been appointed as Director, India Region at Valmet as of July 1, 2024. In this position, he will report to Mr. Petri Paukkunen, Area President, Asia-Pacific at Valmet and a member of Valmet’ s Asia-Pacific Area Management Team.
Mr. Agarwal will be responsible for leading, enabling and driving the India region business growth as well as to develop the local organization in India. He will be based at Valmet’s office in Gurugram, India.
He has over 32 years of experience in the pulp and paper industry. He joined Valmet in 2010, and has held various positions since then. Currently, he works as Head of Pulp and Energy Project Execution for Asia-Pacific from 2022.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Agarwal worked as Head of Project Execution for fiber processing business and wood and pulp handling business from 2014 to 2022, and as General Manager of Electrical and Instrumentation from 2010 to 2014.
