Whitefield Paper Mills Ltd. has finalized the supply of 210,000 TPA paper machine with Metso, Finland. The machine has a production speed of 1300 mpm with pope reel width of 6450 mm. Elof Hansson will supply primary & secondary fibre requirement and export 60% of paper produced. The raw-material mix will be 60% virgin fibre & 40% secondary fibre.
Whitefield plans to manufacture 70% uncoated paper including high quality maplitho, offset paper, A4 copier and 30% light-weight coated paper with online coaters. Located at Bayyavaram and Thupaknlugudem villages, Tallapudi Mandal, Near Kovvur, West Goadavari District in Andhra Pradesh is the first of kind sector specific SEZ paper mill in India and is spread in an area of 500 acres. The company has signed MoU with Dong Fang, China for supply of 2 X 40 MW power plants and agreement with PTC India Ltd for sale of surplus power. The project will be set-up with an investment of rupees 1400 crores.
