China-based Jiangxi Five Star Paper Co., Ltd. has ordered a high-capacity, chemi-thermomechanical pulping system from ANDRITZ. The startup of the line is scheduled for 2023.
The international technology group will provide its P-RC APMP (Pre-Conditioning Refiner Chemical Alkaline Peroxide Mechanical Pulp) technology which ensures optimum pulp quality at the lowest energy consumption. The pulp will be utilised in the manufacturing of Folding Boxboard (FBB) with eucalyptus wood chips as the raw material. The new fiberline, with the capacity of 1,500 admt/d, will be the largest system worldwide based on a single-line concept with only one HC refiner.

ANDRITZ will provide the main equipment, including – chip washing to the storage tower. The scope of order also includes the basic engineering and the supervision of mechanical installation, commissioning, and startup.
