Kuantum Papers has expanded its on-site Precipitated Calcium Carbonate capacity from 25,000 TPA to 50,000 TPA.

Kuantum Papers Limited has doubled the capacity of its on-site Precipitated Calcium Carbonate (PCC) plant from 25,000 tonnes per annum to 50,000 tonnes per annum as part of its ongoing manufacturing and capacity expansion initiatives.

The PCC plant was established in collaboration with Specialty Minerals Inc., USA, and supplies high-quality PCC, which is used as a filler in paper manufacturing. The company describes the facility as a first-of-its-kind on-site PCC plant.

The capacity enhancement forms part of Kuantum Papers’ broader modernization programme. In 2026, the company also received approval to increase paper production capacity from 450 TPD to 540 TPD, alongside upgrades to its paper machines and other manufacturing systems.
