Kuantum Papers Limited has successfully restarted its PM3 at the company’s Saila Khurd manufacturing facility in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, on 26 August 2026, following the completion of a major technological upgradation and rebuild project and several trials. The PM3 rebuild forms part of the company’s strategic capacity and efficiency enhancement plan, with a focus on improving paper quality, operational efficiency, product portfolio versatility and production throughput.

The rebuilt machine incorporates modern features including a top former, film press, improved automation and enhanced drying capability. These upgrades are expected to strengthen the machine’s capabilities and support Kuantum Papers’ future diversification into higher-value writing and printing paper and specialty grades.
