Kuantum Papers Ltd. is pursuing a growth strategy focused on debottlenecking and upgrading its manufacturing operations, with plans to increase production capacity by around 50%. The company is also diversifying into specialty and tissue papers while adopting Industry 4.0 technologies.

Kuantum Papers is planning to increase its production capacity by approximately 50% through debottlenecking and upgrading its plant operations. The company currently operates at an approved capacity of 540 TPD, with four paper machines.

As part of its mill upgradation, the company has commissioned a Displacement Digestor System (DDS) for wood pulping to optimise pulp quality and yield while reducing utility and pulp costs. Native starch systems have also been commissioned on Paper Machines 2 and 3. Meanwhile, Paper Machine 3 has been shut down for a major rebuild aimed at enhancing production and quality.

Kuantum is also exploring specialty and tissue paper technologies to diversify its product portfolio and plans to leverage IoT, AI and cloud computing for operational efficiency and resource optimisation.
