Rainbow Papers, one of the fastest growing corporations in the Indian paper industry, has decided to invest Rs. 630 crores in a new project located at village Rajpur, Taluka Kadi, Mehsana, Gujarat. The project site is at a distance of only around 500 metres from the state highway and has access to infrastructure facilities such as developed road, power, water (boring), labour and semi-skilled and skilled manpower. It will start humming next year, the company having finalised machinery deals with reputed suppliers.
This project consists of two parts – Project-I and Project-II. Project-I includes mill modernisation, up-gradation of existing machinery with a capital outlay of Rs. 149 crores, which will enhance production capacity by 29,700 MT. Project-II includes installation of folding Duplex board machinery with configuration of four wire, 3 press, size press with de-inking plant, coating section, soft nip calendar, etc.
The company’s major suppliers include Kadant Lamort, Arjun Technology, Voith, ABB, Control Technique, Bagpet Industries and Lathia Rubber.
