Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers has ordered to supply a deinking plant Andritz AG, Austria, for Rs 175-crore recycled paper pulp project. The DIP line will have a 3 loop, 2 disperger configuration to produce with quality printing and writing grade pulp using 80% sorted office paper and 20% old magazine, as raw material mix.
A Contract was signed on 27th October 2010 at TNPL Chennai office. The contract was signed by Mr S Udayasankar, General Manager (Projects) of TNPL and Mr Gottfried Schmoelzer, President of Andritz Technologies Ltd in the presence of Mr. T.K.Ramachandran, IAS, Managing Director of TNPL. According to this agreement, Andritz will deliver the main plant and machinery by July/August 2011. Thereafter, Andritz will also supervise the erection and commissioning of the DIP line.
The DIP line is environmental-friendly and consumes low energy and water in production of high grade pulp using recycled paper. The Andritz DIP line shall be capable of producing 300 bd tpd of deinked pulp at 82% ISO brightness for use in production of printing and writing grades of paper.
