Valmet and Sri Andal Paper Mills have signed an agreement for the supply of paper machine clothing to its new containerboard machine, which is located in Tamil Nadu, India. The agreement is valid as of August 2021.
Provided by Valmet, the new containerboard-making line is equipped with key containerboard machine technologies. It will produce recycled liner, recycled fluting, and corrugated kraft (kraft top recycled liner) grades with the basis weight range of 70-300 g/m2.

Speaking on the association with Valmet, Mr. P. Subramaniam, Managing Director, Sri Andal Paper Mills, says, “Valmet has a good track record as a world-class paper technology supplier and they understand the dynamics of our project and believed in it. Simplifying Daily Operations and Optimising Start-up Performance
The chief aim of the agreement is to improve the efficiency of daily operations and ensure a quick and smooth start-up.

The scope of the delivery by the developer of process technologies and automation will include – Valmet Formic Fabrics OP, Valmet Press Felts EMX, Valmet Black Belt R DG, and Valmet Dryer Fabrics OP. Further, the association will provide the framework for the delivery of fabrics.
