We are the manufacturer, importer and exporter of various types of industrial chemicals like pulp and paper chemicals, coating chemicals, industrial defoamers, size press chemicals, deinking chemicals for washing and floatation, dispersing agent, cross-linking agent, finishing agent, lubricant, gloss agent, binder, additives, etc. These speciality chemicals are widely used in paper, textile, fiber line, duplex board, kraft paper, tissue paper, ETP, and coating applications.

We have developed barrier coatings or water repellent coating, as well as oil and grease resistant chemicals for kraft paper, white paper and paperboard. We have also developed a new generation cooking aid and anti-pitch for pulp mills. For the kraft paper segment, we have developed BF booster and odor control chemicals along with ply bonding chemicals and RCT enhancers. We have also produced next generation ash enhancer and wet strength resins for writing and printing paper and tissue paper segments respectively. We also offer a plant trial by our well-qualified technical sales team to show the performance of our products. Production capacity is the maximum product output a company can produce using its available resources over a specified amount of time. This metric is important because it informs a manufacturer’s critical business decisions in both the near and long term.

PM: Kindly provide your insights on the current scenario, ongoing challenges and upcoming opportunities in the Indian and global pulp and paper markets.

KK: Tissue and packaging segments are growing at 8.5 percent year on year due to huge demand in the e-commerce, retail and pharmaceuticals sectors. In the current scenario, the cost of fiber is very high and availability is low. Moreover, the quality of fiber is not good. By using speciality chemicals, we can address such issues and enhance paper quality.

KK: Vertex Chem Private Limited did research and launched the barrier coating chemicals and OGR to the market, a product that our Indian government is insisting on introducing instead of poly coated paper, which is good for environment and human health.
