The new packaging solution is made entirely from paper and is certified as home compostable by TUV.

As per the information shared by Amcor Flexibles Latin America, which created the paper packaging, the paper packaging has the same shelf life and grease-proof properties as the previous paper and aluminium wrapping. The paper wrapper is claimed to be 38 percent lighter than the aluminium and paper lamination. The ASSET life cycle assessment informs that the production and manufacture of this all-paper packaging delivers an 81 percent lower carbon footprint along with decreased water consumption and lesser consumption of non-renewable energy.

The team at Peru was dedicated to making sure that the solution is equally foldable as the previous packaging.

The packaging company informs that the paper is certified by the European compostable governing body TUV as compostable both at home as well as in industrial settings. It was in 2018 that Amcor had committed to designing all of its packaging to be recycled, composted, or reused by 2025 – which made it to be the first global packaging company to do so.
