The mill has also recently upgraded its PM 1, 2 & 4 and its recovery boiler and has increased its PCC plant capacity from 25,000 TPA to 50,000 TPA. The company has also collaborated with Tanovis AG for the Lignin Precipitation Plant.

Kuantum Papers Limited has announced that the mill has received approval for enhancing its paper production capacity from 450 TPD to 540 TPD. The company has also upgraded its PM 4 with advanced shoe press, hood, and calendering system to improve production, quality, and thermal efficiency. In addition to this, the mill has also upgraded its PM 1 & 2 with a dilution headbox, dryers and calendar section for increased production and a diverse range of specialty paper products. The recent upgradation & modification of PM 1, 2 & 4 has resulted in increased production capacity along with improvement in quality and expansion of value added product range.

Additionally, the company’s on-site PCC plant has been upgraded from 25,000 TPA to 50,000 TPA, and its 200 TPD recovery boiler upgraded from cascade to economiser for improved steam efficiency. The company has also stabilized its MACS System, under Project Nirmaan, for both agro & wood bleach sections, enhancing its pulp yield and reducing cost.
The mill also reports that it has eliminated its dependency on imported hardwood pulp as it has become self-reliant in wood raw material, thereby reducing the cost of production. Kuantum Papers currently produces 165 TPD of agro pulp and 200 TPD of wood pulp.

The company has also collaborated with Tanovis AG for the Lignin Precipitation Plant.Tanovis AG, is a Swiss company with global operations producing high-purity lignin based renewable products, encompassing industrial, health & nutrition fields. This plant is first-of-its-kind in the world, a full scale Lignin Precipitation System to separate the non-bio degradable lignin from the black liquor.
