A new stock preparation system was put into operation in June at the Indian paper manufacturer N. R. Agarwal Industries Ltd. in Sarigam, in the federal state of Gujarat. The company established a complete, new paper mill in Sarigam for graphic paper grades so as to meet the rising demand for graphic paper in the Indian market. The annual production capacity of the new mill is 100,000 metric tons of paper.
An IntensaDrum SD 35 pulping drum is part of the stock preparation system at Agarwal Industries. The IntensaDrum SD 35 is a part of the BlueLine equipment family and the first one of this type that has been in operation in India. Shortly after the start-up, the Voith IntensaDrum impressed with very good results, as the Managing Director R. N. Agarwal confirms: “It is a very good machine.
